Youth
The Bass Federation of Michigan Youth Division
The primary purposes of The Bass Federation of MI are to promote conservation, be involved with youth, promote the sport of fishing. The future of our sport depends upon the fostering of values and principles of the outdoors that helped create this country and the resources that we enjoy and protect.
By getting our youth involved in outdoor activities we fulfill the mission of building tomorrows anglers by passing on our values and principles through education and participation. We do this through youth programs such as our Jr clubs while providing support, when necessary, to TBF national’s Student Angler Federation High School Fishing and college fishing. If you have questions about these activities, please contact The Bass Federation of Michigan Youth Director (see below).
You can check the events calendar for youth activities information or the latest youth news.

All general tournament safety rules are followed.
At the weigh-in, the top team by total weight is the Jr. State Champion Team. The Jr. Champion Team then moves on to the next level of competition where they fish the TBF Junior World Championship.
The TBF Junior World Championship is the premier junior fishing tournament in the world and it is held each year in conjunction with the FLW Cup, professional fishing’s richest event.
